White tailed kites are beautiful birds, stark white and graceful to watch in flight. In northern California, they are called Blessing Birds because they hover over the land as if blessing it, while flapping their wings and remaining in the same place. These birds are solitary and looking for prey when in flight. This abstract painting was inspired by the folklore they were given.
